Parents, guardians and carers will play a vital role in supporting their children through the ComBAT intervention. We will involve them at every stage and also provide comprehensive guidance on how to support their child. This is so that they can help their child to understand the process and enable and encourage them to fully engage and persevere with it.

If you are concerned about your child’s mental health, there are lots of sources of support and advice available. The following websites are good places to learn more about common mental health problems amongst young people and what trigger these. They also provide useful tips on how to stay well.

+ Kooth is an on-line mental wellbeing community for young people that has discussion boards and free, safe and anonymous support from a professional team.
What to do if your child is having a mental health crisis
If ever you are worried that a young person is at immediate risk of harm, or is not safe, call 999 or go to A&E. You can also contact your local NHS urgent mental health helpline (England only) for 24-hour advice and support.
