Susan Metcalfe, Senior Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner and Clinical Studies Officer
Biography
I have trained with Northumbria university as a Children’s Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. I have worked in a CAMHS team for 3 years providing low intensity evidence based intervention. Following this I did more further training at Northumbria University and completed the CYP-IAPT Clinical Supervision course. During my time at CAMHS I was recruited as a practitioner for the R&D team in the Alleviating Specific Phobias Experienced by Children Trail (ASPECT). More recently I have worked in the new Mental Health Support Team (MHST) trailblazer, providing low intensity mental health support to primary schools and secondary schools.
Role in ComBAT
Susan will provide teaching around Behavioural Activation to professionals and undertake clinical and caseload supervision. She will also identity recruitment sites and help the wider Research & Development team with the recruitment process.
